Our Legacy
Our story began in 1983 when Larry Hogan planted the first vines in the Cuyama Valley. As a true pioneer, he saw the potential in this unique terroir long before it was recognized as a wine-growing region.
Originally established as Barnwood Vineyards, our foundational work helped shape the identity of the valley. This pioneering spirit and commitment to authenticity eventually led to the evolution into Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard, carrying forward the legacy of quality and dedication that started over four decades ago.
